Career in a Nutshell
Having wound up a few gramophones, plucked many a guitar string and even wrestled his way to create a music catalogue of which he’s very proud. Lonnie has played guitar in 7 different decades and had important releases spanning more than 40 years. The site is a way of helping his fans and associates with contact and information as well as some media and links to other Lonnie related material. Lonnie has spent his life surrounded by music, from working in Record shops, to owing his own, having his own BBC Radio Stoke show for 17 years and releasing singles as well as being a member of MCPS, PPL & PRS. Lonnie and the band have had a quiet couple of years due to the unfortunate pandemic.
We hope 2022 is a better year for all.
Lonnie received an achievement for his services to local music broadcasting on the radio, he was presented by Jason Dale of Six Towns Radio at the Mitchell Memorial Centre. Lonnie is delighted and honoured to receive this award from Six Towns Radio.
